Anniversary Sunday
We praise the Lord for His working in our 23rd Anniversary week of outreach and evangelism. What a blessing to see hundreds of members of our church get involved in over one hundred open air preaching meetings, fourty eight assisted living/nursing home services or one of the many bus routes that went out this week. One 10AM service was held in the SHCS Randy Davis Memorial Gymnasium that accomodated the churches Spanish speaking, Sudanese, and English speaking congregations. The service was translated live by veteran translator/evangelist Daniel Garlick from Texas. The Spanish and Sudanese ministries were recognized and honored on this day. Local political leaders who attended and were honored included, Judge Burton Glover, Rep. Josh Evans, Sheriff Bolinger, County Mayor Bradley, and Clerk Susan Atchley. A beautiful dinner was planned for them and their families after the service. A special Anniversary Concert entitled "Nail it to the Cross" ,by the SHBC choir and orchestra, was held at 6PM. Thank you to all our guests and friends who attended and made this such a special day!
