24th Annual Missions Conference
Mission’s Conference 2013 Theme “Count others, then count you!”
“And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire…” Jude 1:22-23a

What is missions all about?

Is it building projects? Yes
Is it supplying clothing and other needs? Sure
Is it going on short trips to help others? Definitely
Is it medical assistance? Affirmative
Is it giving? Unquestionably
Is it praying? Absolutely

These all apply to Jude 22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference…”  We need to impact people by giving, praying, going, and doing, but is there more...

The Bible is pretty clear as it continues in Jude 23a “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire…”
The priority can’t just be on the needs and gifts, it has to be on sharing the gospel and making sure that others know Christ and are
sure of their eternal destination. It’s also clear that we need to focus on that desperate need, since each moment people are
heading to eternity. Often, in this world, it’s hard not to focus on ourselves. We have lots of needs and
challenges each day, but when we focus on us, we often miss the needs of others. This theme is not just for a mission’s conference,
it’s for our Christian lives. We have to keep our hearts attuned to others, in several areas.

This year’s theme consists of the ideas to:
C - Construct - we should be helping with
projects and physical needs.
O - Others - life is not about us, it’s about others.
Put them before you.
U - Undeterred - we can’t give up. How many
people are impacted, when we give up.
N - Nurturing - missionaries need encouragement
regularly.
T - The Gospel - what’s the final focus and
main purpose of our mission’s program?

To Count, means to be significant. During this Mission’s Conference, be significant to our missionaries, and most importantly, to others.
