Faith Promise Mission Giving

Faith Promise mission giving enriches the life of the giver.  It stretches his life past former boundaries.  The excitement of having God supply the amount that He has placed on the individual's heart is a great spiritual adventure.  It also provides a time of spiritual growth and development of a worldwide vision for souls.

Faith Promise mission giving increases not only one's financial involvement in world missions, but also their personal involvement.  For example, one is more willing to pray for missionaries and join others in mission prayer groups.  They also takes advantage of opportunities to participate in cross-cultural ministries that become available. Finally, God will lead them into innovative ways of expressing Christ's love for the missionairies and those to whom they minister.

Faith Promise mission giving continues to develop South Haven Baptist Church into a "servant church" and will keep us from becoming a "selfish church."  It will provide the spiritual environment for the Holy Spirit to call many at South Haven Baptist Church into the needy fields of the earth.

A Note from our Pastor:

In 1988 God began to impress upon my heart the need for a missions conference.  Dr. Don Sisk who was the director of BIMI, asked me on more than one occasion, to pray about having a week-long Annual Missions Conference.  At that time, we were supporting a handful of missionaries and our annual missions giving was $12,000 per year.  When God made it very clear to me that He wanted us to start Missions Conference, we had our first Conference in February 1989.  Since our first Missions Conference, our ministry has given well over two million dollars through Faith Promise!  We are presently supporting over 100 different missionaries and ministries across the world.  I believe that this has been a major part of the success of our ministry here at South Haven.
